There needs to be MoE guidelines for the use of Web 2.0 tools in schools. These guide lines need to be more definitive, rather than the school to ensure the safety of students. Forward thinking schools are using teacher log ins and the teacher joins the site. Is this accepted best practice? Guidelines and best practice examples in this area are essential and required now, so schools can speak with Boards and community with confidence and security.
