Learn Guide Protect is NetSafe’s new model for cybersafety in schools – the three layered approach to educating New Zealand students is currently being drafted and we value feedback and ideas from educators who are responsible for creating the Digital Citizens of the future.
Use of ICT in schools has come a long way over the last decade and is now considered the norm for children of a very young age. We are replacing our three legged stool model with a more up to date policy framework and set of guidelines that encourages schools and teachers to give their feedback to others in similar situations.
We hope you can come along and meet the NetSafe team at Ulearn09 and will consider joining our network of expert advisers.
We intend to share the results of our Digital Citizen research after the conference and will be looking for comments on our blogging guide for schools so do please register to be a member and get involved.
